CO makes some really good beer

No surprise here.  We've been enjoying Colorado beer for three years.  And, yeah, they make some good stuff.  We started at lunch in Pueblo at Shamrock Brewing.  Damn, there's some good brew there...and some good food.

We didn't stop in Pagosa Springs (though we probably should have to check out the two new breweries: Riff Raff and Wolf).  We were intent on getting to Durango and settling in for the evening.

We arrived in Durango and got a room "riverside."  The river didn't look too bad, but there is a slight orange tinge on the bottom.  When we were here last year...almost a year to the date...the river was really clear.  Today it was sort of a weird green (thanks to the mine pollutants)  with a little orange (mineral) tinge on the bottom and on the shores.

We started off at Lady Falconburgh and I enjoyed a New Belgium Long Table (one I haven't seen in Denver) Saison.  So good!

We walked down to our favorite brewer/restaurant, Carvers, and had a wonderful dinner and a couple more really good beers: a double IPA and a delicious white IPA.  Yum!

Cheers!!
