sedona

Well let's just say that the road from Flagstaff to Sedona is amazing.  You drive south from Flag and into Oak Creek Canyon, and OMG...

Around every curve of the winding road was something else I wanted to take a picture of.

It's a beautiful drive.  Especially so once you get to the red rocks of Sedona.

This is called Snoopy Rock.

See him lying on his back as if he were lying on top of his doghouse?  And do you recognize Disney's Thunder Mountain on the left of this one?

We took a Pink Jeep Tour all over/through the trails above Sedona...there were some great vistas.

Beautiful prickly pear.

We were hot.

And the trails were steep.

It was a great way to see all the dramatic formations...and a lot of fun, too!

Most interesting is the fact that there is a fault that runs though this canyon (called Nobody's Fault).  Joe took a few pictures of the crack in the earth.

After a fun day (and soooo hot) we headed back to Flagstaff, freshened up, and sprinted for the breweries.  Dark Sky was our favorite this evening.

Tomorrow we hit the Grand Canyon and then Las Vegas, baby.
